Being a Chief Wellness Officer isn’t just my job—it’s how I live. Every decision I make, from what I put in my body to how I move through my day, is guided by the same principles that shape SaunaSpace: light, rhythm, intention, and detox.
This role isn’t performative. It’s personal. What I share below isn’t a checklist or a template—it’s my lived rhythm. And my hope is that it inspires you to find a version that works beautifully for you.
Morning: Slowness, Sunlight & Subtle Detox
I wake slowly, often with a feeling of deep gratitude. Before I even move, I try to tune in to that sensation of thankfulness for simply being here.
Sometimes I head to the bathroom first, but when I begin my morning routine, I always start with tongue scraping—and ideally oil pulling, when I’m in a good groove. Tongue scraping is such a powerful way to clear what’s been released overnight and reset the body for what’s to come.
After that, I usually do a breathing meditation to activate apana vayu—the downward flow of energy that supports elimination. If I need help getting things moving, I sit on my Squatty Potty and practice long exhales to guide the energy down.
Next, I’ll take a binder (usually zeolite), my iodine, and some trace minerals in lemon water.
Something I don’t do? Caffeine. I’ve gone through long periods of being completely off of it, and I’ve found that even small amounts can be overstimulating for my system. Occasionally, I’ll have a gentle cacao-maca blend with adaptogens, but I’m always mindful. I’d rather energize with light, breath, and movement than borrow from tomorrow’s energy.
If I’m in Florida, I walk to the beach and watch the sunrise. If I’m home, I head into the Super Sauna. There, I tune into my body. Some days I sweat right away, other days I stay longer. While I’m inside, I listen to Ho’oponopono, affirmations, or just breathe in silence. It’s never about tracking or optimizing—it’s about aligning.
Beauty as Energy Hygiene
To me, beauty isn’t about perfect skin or elaborate routines. It’s about energy hygiene.
After my sauna or shower, I spray my entire body with Briotech—hypochlorous acid that gently clears without disrupting my microbiome. Then I coat myself with toasted sesame oil. It’s grounding, nourishing, and protective.
In Ayurveda, oil is a synonym for love. I think of it as creating a barrier of care—a way of sealing in what’s mine and keeping out what isn’t.
I don’t dry brush (it’s too stimulating for my Vata constitution), but I do practice abhyanga and nasya—applying a few drops of oil in each nostril. It supports immunity, hydration, and even digestion.
My Supplement Stack
I keep my stack simple and supportive:
-
Zeolite for detox
-
Iodine for thyroid health and radiation protection
-
Magnesium (glycinate for sleep, citrate for digestion)
-
Trace minerals + electrolytes
-
Colostrum (goat or cow)
-
Jana’s All Natural Bee Pollen (her bees live in a Faraday cage!)
-
Emu oil (rich in D, K2, and omega fats)
-
Pearl powder (for skin, hair, nails, and nervous system)
-
A liposomal phospholipid complex for tissue and brain support
These rotate depending on where I am, what I’m needing, and what the season is asking of me.
Movement, Food, and Flow
I move in tune with my body. That might mean SaunaSpace yoga at 8am, a walk after dinner, or a few minutes on the vibration plate before my sauna. It’s all about staying connected.
When it comes to food, I eat seasonally and intuitively. In winter, I gravitate toward cooked foods and meats like venison, lamb, or bison. In warmer months, I might crave more raw fruits and veggies. I avoid pork, chicken, and most shellfish—though I’ll have oysters now and then.
Duck eggs, goat cheese, and raw A2 dairy show up a lot. We source our food as locally and cleanly as possible, but I try not to be obsessive. I’ve been on that swing before. Now, I aim for balance.
Evening: Clearing the Field
Evenings are sacred. We unplug the Wi-Fi, leave cell phones out of the bedroom, and sleep under a grounded EMF-free canopy. Magnesium is a must. Dinner is early, followed by a walk or herbal tea.
Most nights, Brian gives me a massage—sometimes while reading aloud. It’s the simplest form of connection and the best sleep aid I know.
If I’m feeling the need, I’ll do a castor oil pack, use detox foot pads, or take a magnesium salt bath. I love Tulsi Rose or peppermint tea at night, and if I’m energetically off, I’ll turn to blue lotus.
If I Really Splurge...
My idea of a perfect wellness splurge? A facial that includes lymphatic drainage, reflexology, and deep cranial release. I’ll pull out my terahertz wand (aka my "magic blow dryer"), PEMF mats, or use my Wellness Pro with frequency settings for liver detox or sleep support.
Other days, I’ll do IV therapy with Brian’s mom—ozone, NAD, vitamin C. It’s rare, but powerful.
Why It Matters
This lifestyle isn’t about perfection or purity. It’s about presence. I do all of this not to perform wellness, but to feel like myself—clear, connected, and alive.
The most important thing I’ve learned is that healing is a rhythm. It doesn’t happen in a single supplement or one sauna session. It’s a relationship with your body, your space, and your breath.
Start where you are. Tune in. Go slow. That’s where the magic begins.
With love and light,
Mila
